The women’s Day Celebration at St John the Evangelist Church was celebrated on March 1, 2015 in the Community Hall. It was organized by the ‘Stree Sanghatan’ unit of the Pangla Parish. The programme began at 2:30 pm with the invocation of the Triune God. The dignitaries on the dais were welcomed by the members of the women’s unit. The Resource person of the programme was Mrs Hilda Rodrigues who gave a talk on the ‘Strength of a Woman in the Society’. Rev Fr Leslie D’Souza appreciated the services rendered by women in the Parish. Fr Vincent Coelho, Mr Mark Vaz, Mrs Simmy D’Souza, Sr Winnie, Br Rolwin Fernandes, the President and the Secretary of the women’s unit were present on the dais. The whole programme ended with a tea party. The whole programme was organized by Mrs Linet Fernandes with the help of the Members of the Unit.
