St John the Evangelist Church , Pangla celebrated the Senior Citizen’s Day on the 14th of December 2014. The Society of St Vincent De Paul (SVP) organized this entire programme under the leadership of Mrs Simmy D’Souza. The day began with the confessions held for the aged at 10:30 am and the Eucharistic Celebration in anticipation of Christmas thereafter. The Parish Priest, Fr Leslie D’Souza celebrated the Mass.
Then there was a gathering in the Community Hall. The Choir group initiated the programme by singing the Carols. Then Mrs Simmy welcomed the gathering. Fr Leslie gave a short message.Br Canute Noronha conducted some games and made them joyous. The Vice President of the Parish Council, Mr Mark Vaz and Sr Winnie were present.Br Rolwin Fernandes compered the entire programme. Around 75 elderly people were present and the programme ended with the lunch.
