Ordination
The Ordination to the Priesthood of the deacons of Udupi Diocese was held on 8th may 2014 at Our Lady of Health Church, Shirva at 3.00. p.m. The Bishop of Udupi Diocese Ordained Priest are Rev. Fr. Jerald Sandeep D’Mello of Pangla Parish and Rev. Fr. Rolwin Joy Aranha of Kalathur Parish, ordained preist by Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo, the Bishop of Udupi Diocese. The whole Ceremony was held with Glamour and Devotion. Priest from Udupi, Mangalore & Religious Congregations were Present. Rev. fr. Chethan Lobo OFM cap was the master of ceremony. The whole ceremony went on well with the cooperation of Seminarians, choir members, altar boys and volunteers. V. Rev. Fr. Stany Tauro, parish priest of shirva looked after necessary arrangements with great concern. Family members of new priests, guests and invitees witnessed the great and sacred event. This is the Second Ordination Ceremony for the diocese of udupi after its formation. The diocese is Happy to have Two Priests to join the presbytarium.

First Mass
The First Eucharistic Celebration of Rev. Fr. Jerald Sandeep D’Mello was held on 9th may 2014 at St. John Evangelist Church, Pangla Shankerpura at 10.00.a.m. He was ordained preist by Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo, the Bishop of Udupi Diocese on 8th may 2014, at shirva parish. The first Mass witnessed guest priests and the invitees. Rev. Fr. Vincent Montiero , Former Parish priest of pangla parish delivered meaningful homily. Soon after the mass, new priest was felicitated in the church itself behalf of the entire parish. The principal of St. Johns Pu College Rev. fr. Vincent Coelho welcomed the Gathering. Parish Priest rev. fr. Dr. Leslie C. D’souza spoke the words of felicitation. Fr. Jerald was wished with garland & fruits, Parish choir group sang the wishing song. New priest gave short speech of thanksgiving, Vice president of parish council Mr. Mark vaz gave the vote of thanks, Secretary Mrs. Simmy D’Souza Compered the programme. Then Grand Felicitation Ceremony was held at parih hall, The whole programme camout very well systematically. Programme concluded with individual wish & lunch.
