The feast of Nativity of BV Mary is celebrated all over the globe on 8th September 2017 which covers blessings of the new harvest thanking God Almighty for his abundant blessings on our community for giving us food we need. Second part is showering of flowers to infant Mary by little children in each Parish of Catholics spread all over the globe especially Mangalorean Community followed by Holy Mass.

In addition a few Parishes in Udupi Diocese currently organizes cultural events and sports. However, in Pangla Parish has the old tradition of organising traditional games and sports from I must say began early 1960s and still continues until today. The sports events begin at around 2pm starting with track events such as race, 3-leg race for kids and then continues with youngsters such as Shot put and slow cycle race.

The middle aged too enjoy a some fun filled traditional sports such as breaking the pots and tug of war.
This year too this unique tradition continued from 2 30pm to 7pm with all parishioners having fun filled day. During the week prior to feast various competitions such as singing fancy dress and elocution were held.
