Shankerpura : Maundy Thursday Observed With Solemnity Washing of the Feet and Holy Adoration
Shankerpura , 14 April 2022 : Maundy Thursday Was Observed With Solemnity in St. John the Evangelist Church Shankerpura on April 14, 2022 at 6.30 pm. The Solemn Holy Thursday Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Anil Pinto as the Chief celebrant. assisted by Rev. Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves,, and Rev. Fr. Lawrence Mendonca. In his homily Rev. fr. Anil, Emphasized on the Significance of the Maundy Thursday , there after he washed the feet of 12 Parishioners reminding the washing of the feet of 12 Apostles by Jesus Christ. Following end of the mass, the Holy Eucharist was taken ceremoniously to the Altar of Repose followed by Adoration by Rev Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves.
