The ceremony of Maundy Thursday was celebrated at St John the Evangelist Church, Pangala, Shankarapura, on the 1st of April, 2021. It started at 6:30 pm with the Eucharistic celebration. The Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr Roshan Dcunha, Asst parish priest, St john the Evangelist Church, Shankarapura and concelebrated by Rev. Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr Lawrence Mendonca and Rev Fr. Alfred Rayn Dsouza. After the proclamation of the word of God, Fr RToshan Dcunha, briefed about the significance of Eucharist in the life of Christians and the sanctity of Priesthood. He also gave a call to be service- minded like Christ And pray for priests
After the sermon, following the exemplary service shown by Jesus through the washing of the feet of the twelve Apostles during the Last Supper, Fr Roshan washed the feet of the twelve Gurkars. The prayers of the faithful were prayed for the cause of various intentions. After the Mass, adoration was conducted by fr Roshan Dcunha.
