GOOD FRIDAY
The faithful in pangla celebrated Good Friday with Fasting and with much devotion. In the morning , the way of the Cross was conducted in the school ground at 10.00.a.m. Fr Vincent Coelho, principal of st john’s PU college and his team conducted the way of the cross People Carried a big cross to each station. People in large numbers participated in the way of the cross, though there was scorching sunlight, it came to an end at 11.a.m.
The Good Friday service began in the evening at 5.30.p.m. in open air, Fr Vincent Coelho was the main celebrant who did the unveiling and veneration of the cross, Fr leslie d’souza preached the word of god focusing on the calls us to forgive others, to surrender ourselves into the hands of god, to accept others and to do our mission faithfully. A collection was made during the service for the cause of the hungry and sick people. No Eucharist is celebrated on good Friday, but communion is distributed to the faithful. The ceremony came to an end at 7.30.p.m.
