Feast of Assumption of our Lady was celebrated on 15th August 2018. Meaningful Liturgy was observed during the Eucharistic Celebration. After the Eucharistic celebration, Independence Day of the country was celebrated. Chief guest Rev. Fr Royson Fernandes, the Assistant Parish Priest hoisted the flag. Under the leadership of ICYM unit of the parish, due honour was paid to the flag thus showing our love for the country. In his message, Fr Royson opined that the greatest honour that we can offer to the country is by respecting every person around us. ‘I respect you’ should be our goal in life. Parish Priest Rev. Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves, principal of St John’s PU college Rev. Fr Vincent Coelho, Rev. Fr Romeo Lewis, Rev. Fr Alfred Rayan D’Souza, Sr Prescilla Mathias the Superior of Sacred Heart Convent, Mr Mark Vaz, Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council, Mrs Clara Mendonca, the Secretary, Mrs Seema Margaret D’Souza, Coordinator of 18 Commission were present. Mr Aaron D’Souza, the President of ICYM extended a warm welcome to all. Ms Princia Noronha thanked all.
