Christmas Celebration at Kuwait

The Kuwait Pangla Association (KPA) celebrated Christmas on 5th Dec \'13 at Caesars Dakshin Restaurant with members and friends. The fun filled party began at 9pm with a warm welcome by Albert Quadras and carol singing.
The guest of honor for the celebration was Rev. Fr. Noel Vinay Almeida. He was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers from Alvisha Noronha. The formal celebration began with a Christmas cake cutting ceremony by the guest of honor along with Vice President Mala Menezes, Secretary Wilson Cornelio and all children. Thereafter guest of honor and Vice President addressed the gathering with their Christmas message. Vice President also highlighted on some of the achievements and charity work of KPA in the past one year. She also conveyed the President’s message, as he could not be present for the event as he was out of country.
Santa Claus’s entry set the party mood. He entertained the children and adults equally and gave away lots of goodies and a special Christmas message. There were solo dance performances by Voila Martis, Makita Mendonca and a group dance by beautiful Pangla ladies. .
There was a Christmas cake draw, housie housie and many games and spot prizes for children and adults. The most awaited lucky member of the year draw was held and Vincent Alva won the lucky member award for 2013. He won a cash prize of Rs 10,000/-
Vivet Dsouza gave the vote of thanks.
Fr. Noel said the grace before meals. A delicious dinner was prepared and served by Caesars Dakshin Restaurant.
DJ Vinay and Marvin gave excellent music and kept the crowd on their toes.
The program was ably compared by our own talented compares Roshan Martis, Wilson Cornelio and Albert Quadras.
