On Sunday the 8th of October 2017, the Catholic Women’s Commission of Pangla Parish Celebrated the Feast of their Patroness Our Lady of Rosary. To honor our lady they had a thanksgiving Eucharistic Celebration at 7.00.a.m. Rev. Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves, the Parish priest Celebrated the Holy Eucharist During which he gave a meaningful homily.
At 12.00. noon there was a gathering at the parish community hall, Rev. Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves, Rev Fr Royson fernandes, asst. parish priest, rev fr Vincent Coelho, principal St Johns PU College, Shankerpura, Catholic Women’s Commission’s Animator Sr Winny D’Souza, President Mrs irine Noronha, Secretary Mrs Anna Maria D’Souza and 18 commissions Coordinator Mrs Simmy D’Souza were present on the dias.
The chief guest Rev. Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves is his Message to the members of the commission enlightened saying that initially in the church with the purpose of good work all the working women gathered together and formed this commission; he further congratulated all the women in this commission for rendering good service in the parish. At the same time he reminded that they have a commitment and dedication to strengthen family life and it does not limit only to the service of church and society, he also said that the Feast of our lady of Rosary calls us to imbibe the virtue of humanity and give priority to holy rosary in our family life.
At the occasion Sr Winny D’Souza, the Animator was honored as she had been placed an honor of an “Ideal Teacher 2017” of Udupi District by Adarsha Hospital in Collabaration with the educational department of udupi.
For this feast all the president of the parish commissions were present. The president Mrs Irine Noronha welcomed the and the Secretary Mrs Anna Maria D’Souza thanked all the invitees on this occasion. Mrs Linet Fernandes entertained the gathering by conducting games, Mrs Treeza machado Compeered the programme, the presence of the Sisters of the Daughters of the Sacred Heart Convent added our joy, the Programme Came to its Culmination with Sumptuous Meal Prepared by each member of the commission.
