Bishop’s visit in view of Pastoral Plan
The Diocese of udupi , since its inauguration on October 15 2013, had been progressing as a toddler, but now it has Started taking brisk steps to fulfill many of its objective. The diocese os marching towards excellence under the committed leadership of bishop Gerald Isaac lobo. The diocese has come up with a pastoral plan with the title ‘mission 2025’. It is the result of the process of reflection of the pastoral realities and the collection of the research and survey on the faith and socio-economic life of Catholics in the diocese of udupi. The goals and objectives of the eighteen commissions are specified in it and are to be implemented in the course of time.
In this regards bishop Gerald Isaac lobo visited our parish on august 8, 2014 at 3.30.p.m. along with two other resource persons , mr leslie aroza and mr alphonse d’costa. He gave an overview of the 18 commissions to the members of our parish council who gathered in the community hall. The bishop initiated the session by putting forth the vision, mission and the core value of the diocese. Mr. Leslie Aroza highlighted on family, youth, liturgy and Mr. Alphonse D’costa dealt with the education and social development commissions. The member of the parish council, the parish priest Fr. Leslie D’Souza and Fr. Vincent Coelho were a witness to this session. The session ended with great appreciation at 7:15 p.m
